DRINK DRIVING

20151208PoliceTape07RWA 23 year old male from Scone was breathalysed on Friday and blew a mid-range reading of 0.128.

The driver of the black Holden Colorado came to police attention at approximately 10:50pm when he drove out of a private driveway with the driver’s door open and was swerving from side to side in the north bound lane of Kelly Street.

Police followed the vehicle and when he turned into Makybe Diva Circuit they pulled the driver over and conducted a breath test, which proved positive.

The driver was taken to the Scone Police station where the breath analysis returned a mid-range reading of 0.128g grams of alcohol per 20 litres of breath.

The accused driver was issued with a court attendance notice (CAN) for Scone Local Court on April 21.

It was the drivers first alleged offense and his licence was immediately suspended.

 

PANEL VAN STOLEN

A silver Nissan X-trail panel van / 4 wheel drive was stolen from Bow Street, Merriwa sometime between 7:30pm on Saturday night and 7am on Sunday morning.

The licence plates are YAK 714.

 

NUMBER PLATES STOLEN

NUMBER plates from a white Mercedes Sprinter panel can were stolen between 1am and 6am on Sunday.
The vehicle was parked on Doyle Street, Scone and the number plates were CBN 22Q.

 

HORSE RIDING ACCIDENT

AT approximately 5:10pm on Thursday a 21 year old female fell from a race horse as she was doing track work on a property on the New England Highway in Parkville.

Approximately 10 minutes after leaving the stables staff saw the five year old thoroughbred mare return to the stables without the rider.

Stable hands drove to the track where they found the rider unconscious.

Ambulance officers from Scone an Murrurundi attended, with Scone Police.

The rider was treated at the scene, transferred to the Scott Memorial Hospital and later by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to the John Hunter hospital.

The rider was wearing an approved riding helmet and WorkCover have been notified.
