POSSESS DRUG

A 60 year old man from Scone will appear in court on May 18 after being charged with trafficking a prohibited drug.

Police allege the offence occurred in Tuesday when the man was pulled over by police as he was driving a maroon Nissan Pulsar sedan west on Gundy Road, Scone.

The accused exited the vehicle where police subjected him to a random breath test, which returned a negative result.

Police conducted a search of the accused and when the man removed the grey coloured hoodie he was wearing two small resealable plastic bags fell from the jacket.

Police believed the drug to be Methylamphetamine, he was placed under arrest and cautioned in relation to the items.

Due to the combined weight of the drug the 60 was charged with trafficking.
