UPDATE ON TODDLER WHO RAN INTO TRAFFIC

Further to the story Toddler Ran Into Traffic police have said the two year old boy was from Coolah and after leaving Target with his mother, he had run across the footpath between two parked cars and into the first lane of traffic on Kelly Street.

The driver saw the child, swerved to the right and braked heavily to avoid the child.

The child ran face first into the near side of the front wheel, causing a bloody nose and bruising to his face.

The child was taken to the Scott Memorial Hospital for observation.

 

UPDATE ON ACCIDENT IN MAIN STREET

Further to the story Accident On Main Street police have said the driver of the white Holden sedan was a 58 year old male from Wingen, who complained of chest injuries following the accident.

The pains were thought to be associated with the impact of the airbags during the accident and he also had a cut to his right hand.

 

DRUG POSSESSION IN CASSILIS

AT approximately 2am on Monday, June 13 a 35 year old male from Cowora was parked in an unregistered Isuzu table top truck within a dirt siding adjacent to the Golden Highway, Cassilis, a location police described as dark and remote.

Also parked there was a silver Mitsubishi Triton ute, which was registered to the Cowora man and in it were two other associates of the man.

Police stopped and spoke to the man and formed the suspicion that he may have been in possession of illicit drugs.

The man advised police he was in possession of cannabis and handed them a blue cooler bag which contained a clear re-sealable bag which contained 19 grams of cannabis, a small plastic container with chopped cannabis weighing 1 gram and other drug paraphernalia.

The cannabis was seized and the man was issued a court attendance notice for Scone local court on June 23.
