CAMPER TRAILER FIRE

20151208PoliceTape07RWON Saturday at at approximately 11:30am a couple set up their camper trailer on a friends property off Tinsey’s Road, Murrurundi.

When they returned approximately half an hour later the trailer was well alight, beyond saving and started a small bushfire which burned half an acre.

The fire was extreme, melting the number plate and destroying the steel frame of the trailer.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

STEALING IN SCONE

ON Sunday between 8am and 11am a person’s wallet was stolen from a table near the stables at the entrance to White Park.

The person who reported the theft was working at the Scone Horse Sales being held at the Park.

Other people’s belongings were also on the table and while other workers were near the table, it was still accessible to the general public.

DRIVING DRUNK AND FIGHTING

At approximately 9:30pm on Friday a 41 year old male from Middlebrook has attempted to drive his car after attending a private function at the Scone Racecourse, however he was unable to find the exit and the accused then reversed his vehicle 30 metres.

Four pedestrians were walking along Flemington Road when the the 41 year old male is accused of striking a female pedestrian with his car and causing her to be knocked over.

One of the male pedestrians, has approached the accused who was still seated in his vehicle.

After a verbal exchange the accused got out of his vehicle and has taken hold of the victim before swinging a punch at him.

The victim’s shirt has been ripped and his friends came to his assistance.

The accused was held by Security until Police have arrived.

The 41 year old male underwent a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result.

He was arrested, cautioned and conveyed to Scone Police Station, where another breath analysis was conducted which returned a mid-range reading of 0.147 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.

His license was immediately suspended and he was issued a court attendance notice for mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol and common assault.

He is due to appear in court on June 23.

The female pedestrian suffered minor ligament damage to her ankle, but did not request the services of a doctor.
