Filed in Just In by November 2, 2018

THIS weekend Scone will host an all women’s rugby 7’s tournament, with nine teams from around the state set to compete and two outstanding Australian sevens players Charlotte Caslick and Lewis Holland joining the fun.

Last year was the inaugural tournament and this year there will be Rugby Australia staff scouting the growing field of talent for players in the 2019 national tournament.

This year there will also be a junior tournament with an under 17’s and under 15’s round.

The bar and canteen is open throughout the tournament, with a pizza van and slushies also available.

The party will continue Saturday night with fancy dress optional at the Belmore Hotel.

See draw below.

  • When: 9:30am – 4pm on Saturday and 10am – 1:20pm on Sunday.
  • Where: Owen Glen Rugby Park, 49 Aberdeen Street, Scone.
  • Cost: $5 entry.
