Cr Lee Watts, said it was wonderful to see the community come together and recognise the importance of Aboriginal culture in Australia.

“The day continues to get bigger every year, with more than 140 people at the flag raising this year,” Cr Watts said.

“It’s fantastic to see the schools participating in the event and the students who spoke were inspiring; it’s wonderful to know our young people have such compassion,” she said.

“We were also very lucky to hear Ritchie Lawton talk about his culture and enjoy his talents as we listened to him play the didgeridoo,” said Cr Lee Watts.
