Remembrance Day 2016

COMMEMORATIVE services will be held in Merriwa, Murrurundi and Scone on Friday to mark the end of World War I and remember those who lost their lives in conflicts.

The following services have been organised by RSL sub branches:

• Merriwa Remembrance Garden at 10.45am;
• Murrurundi War Memorial Gates at the Bowling Club at 11.00am, and
• Scone Cenotaph, Scone War Memorial Swimming Pool at 10.30am.

One minute’s silence is observed at 11am on Friday, November 11 to mark the 1918 armistice.
