Restarting Underground Well Advanced

IN a statement released to the market this morning, Australian Pacific Coal has described their progress towards recommencing underground mining at Dartbrook as “well advanced.”

The announcement was prompted by their progress of securing the outstanding funding for completing the acquisition of Dartbrook, including the ability to buy Marubeni Coal’ 16.67% interest if required.

The Company is now focusing on personnel, site safety, environmental and operational management and plan to hold a series of community briefings setting out its proposals for the Dartbrook mine in the coming months.

They also stated their intention to gain regulatory approvals to convert the mine from an underground to an open cut operation.
