Shane Lloyd, Kate’s dad said his daughter deserved the win.

“She trains hard and I am very proud of her,” said Mr Lloyd.

“I did set my watch and I ran a 16.11 so I estimate she did 15:50,” he said.

Harry Warner ran third and was also junior boy champion, Hunter Ryan placed fourth and Sophia O’Sullivan was junior girl champion.

The money raised from the fun run was donated to the Olivia Inglis Foundation.

The Scone Horse Trials committee established the Olivia Inglis Foundation which has raised more than $165,000, with funds targeting safety innovations in their sport across the country.

Lisa Randle, secretary of the Scone Horse Trials was emotional as she thanked the community for their support of the Foundation.

“I’d just like to thank everyone of you personally, whether you ran, you purchased raffle tickets, you’re supporting the market stalls, Sparkles, the pamper parlour, your contribution is greatly appreciated and I hope you all have a great day,” said Ms Randle.
