Safer Scone Saleyards

Filed in Recent News by March 1, 2016

REGULAR users of the sale yards and truck washing facilities need to complete a workplace safety induction by May 1.

The Upper Hunter Shire Council will be holding safety induction for the sale yards throughout April.

Council has sent letters to many of the regular users and there will be announcements made at each sale from May 1 providing a daily induction brief to visitors.

The induction consists of a certificate which can be completed online at any time through Tocal College and attending an induction workshop.

Once people have completed the online certificate, they will receive a copy of the certificate to present for registration at one of the induction workshops.

People attending the yards for a sale and are escorted by an agent or Council employee do not have to undertake the induction.
