Santa Sighting in Kelly Street

WHILE it was announced this week that Santa would be making time to have photographs in Scone, we didn’t know he’d be making himself at home in Kelly Street.

A source, who wished to remain anonymous, said they noticed some movement at 152 Kelly Street and were about to report a break in to police when they realised it was Santa and took some photographs.

Lee Watts, manager of the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre had been there earlier in the day setting up Santa’s photo backdrop and was surprised Santa had been there (Related Story: Santa in Town Next Week).

“His schedule is really busy it was so difficult getting time with him for the photographs and he never mentioned to me he’d be in the shop after hours,” said Mrs Watts.

“He is absolutely welcome to use the space if he needs and it makes sense that he may need a base in town at the moment,” she said.

Mrs Watts asked to see the photographs and laughed when she saw he had been drinking milk and eating cookies.

“His only request for doing the photos was milk and cookies which we went shopping to get today and left them in the shop, looks like I will have to get more milk and cookies,” laughed Lee Watts.
