ON a hot and windy day on Thursday, the Scone lady golfers played the second Golf NSW and Monthly Medal as an 18 Hole Stroke / Stableford event.

An excellent field turned out and the winner with another very good round to take her second medal for the season was Sarah Brooks.

She had her best score ever to record 64 nett and again should enjoy a handicap reduction.

The runner up was Judy Carmody who had 73 nett to win on a countback from Lyn Banks.

In the ball competition on stableford points the following players collected: Sarah Brooks 45, Judy Carmody 36, Annie Woods 36, Lyn Banks 36, Noreen Marshall 35, Sheena Carter 34 points.

The NTP’s on the 8th / 17th were won by: Division 1: Jo Brown; Division 2: Kathy Robinson; Division 3: Fiona Groom.

Lyn and Jo both birdied the second hole and with the birdie box not having gone off this season they went home with three balls each.

On Thursday April 14, the ladies will play an 18 Hole Stableford for a Scone Sporties Trophy, whilst on Monday April 11, the pennant team play Hunter Valley at Singleton in round 4 of the Hunter River District Pennant.
