ON a cooler day for golf the Scone ladies headed out for an 18 Hole FBBB Stableford and Individual Stableford for the Golf NSW Bowl Event and the Judy Carmody and Narelle Rutter Trophy.

The winners of the day with a fabulous 49 points were Catherine Russell and Lyn Banks who combined extremely well especially on the back nine where they had 26 points.

The winners are now in the running for a possible place in the Women’s NSW Open Pro-Am in 2017.

Fiona Groom and Sheena Carter would have felt unlucky to be runners up when they also had a great score of 48 points.

Amongst the ball winners in the individual stableford was Fiona Groom, who no doubt will reduce her handicap after her 45 points.

She also collected the NTP on the 17th at 4.45 metres.

Balls also went to Lyn Banks 37, Noreen Marshall 37, Catherine Russell 34 and Sue Watts 34 points.

On Thursday March 24 the ladies will play an 18 Hole Stableford for the June Jukes Trophy.

The pennant team will head to Hunter Valley Golf and Country Club to play The Vintage in round 2 on Monday March 21.

In the Wednesday social competition Brendon King was the winner on 24 points on a countback from Mitchell Casson.

Brad Hockley was in third place on 22 points.

One more round of play for the season will be held on March 23 and later a social day on Sunday April 17 will be held for those players who have had a minimum of three games during the competition.
