KEVENS’ KNOCKOUT DECIDED

On Saturday, August 26 at Scone Golf Course the men played an 18 Hole 2B and individual stableford for Charlie Manning and Noel Kelly’s Trophy on the Arthur Shaddock Memorial Day. On a great day for golf the scores were very good. The winners were Red Palmer and Tom Thompson who had 48 points. The runners up were David Bradshaw and Lindsay Hodge one point behind.

The best individual score of the day was by Jim Hobbs with a fabulous round of 45 points.

The NTP’s were won by Gordon Halliday 2.88 metres on the 2nd / 11th whilst on the 8th / 17th Scott Reid was the winner with 2.82 metres.

The final of the Kevans Knockout, which is in its 45th year of play, was also played. In a very close contest between two low handicap players, Steve Morse prevailed 1 up over Mick Reynolds to win the event for the first time. The win included Steve’s first ever eagle which occurred on the par 5 15th which won him the hole, despite Mick having a birdie there also!
