On Saturday, December 24 a good field enjoyed golf at Scone when they played an 18 Hole Stableford for the Scone RSL Group Trophy.

Fortunately the field was in before a storm threatened late in the day.

The best score of the day was by Mick Alsleben who had 40 points to win A Grade.

The other winners were B Grade Paul Smart who had 37 points to win on a countback from Brad Hockley, and newer member Tony Pringle had 39 points to win his first C Grade prize.

The NTP on the 2nd / 11th was won by Jeff Harrington with a shot to 2.54 metres, whilst on the 8th / 17th Alan Wood won the ball with 3.54 metres.

Ball winners were: Mick Alsleben 40, Tony Pringle 39, John Murray 38, Steve Morse, Paul Smart, Brad Hockley 37, George Campbell 36 and Jeff Harrington 35 on a countback.

Next Saturday, December 31 the event will be an 18 Hole Stableford with a “Mystery” 2 Ball in conjunction.

Sponsor is Club Captain Ross Banks.

A reminder that golfers and non-golfers can have a bit on fun on New Year’s Day with a social 9 Hole 4 Person Ambrose for the Joel Woods and Graham White Keg Trophy.

The day will also be in support of “Where There’s A Will” charity.

A 2pm shotgun start will be in place and teams should be entered to Joel Woods on 0448 205 632 or Ross Banks on 0488 591 237.

The Wednesday Red Tee Challenge was again closely contested.

First place Duncan Yuille had 27 points to edge out Scott Shann and Kevin Bailey both on 26 points, with Sean Constable missing out on a prize on a countback.

New players considering joining the club should be aware that pro-rata fees are on offer.
