On Thursday, November 10 the Scone lady golfers played an 18 Hole Stableford for the Royal Hotel Trophy.

The winner on the day was Wendy Clift who had a very good 38 points and Annie Woods continued her run of form to be runner up on 36 points.

Ann Cameron won the NTP on the 17th with a shot to 5.43 metres.

The ball winners were: Wendy Clift 38, Annie Woods 36, Noreen Marshall 34, Julie Leckie and Ann Cameron 33 points.

On Thursday, November 17 the event will be a 2 person Ambrose for a Scone Sporties Trophy.

On the following Thursdays throughout the summer months, a nine hole event will be supplemented by an 18 Hole Stableford for those who wish.

The 9 hole comp will rotate between the front 9 and back 9 on a month about basis.

The Wednesday social comp was hindered by the wet weather with only seven players getting a game in.

David Murray was the best with 27 points and won the only prize.

On Saturday, November 12, the morning players wisely didn’t venture out in the storms and heavy downpour.

With it all over by mid-morning, the afternoon players experienced a soggy course when they played an 18 Hole Stableford for the Noel Leckie and James Archibald sponsored day.

The A Grade winner was Steve Morse who had 38 points to win on a countback from Clayton Rogers.

B Grade was won by Wayne Hedley who had 37 points and C Grade went to Les Cottam with 35 points.

In the NTP’s Tony O’Neill won the 2nd / 11th with 1.43 metres and on an extraordinary day no-one landed one on the 8th / 17th!

Ball winners were: Steve Morse, Clayton Rogers 38, Wayne Hedley, Justin Smart 37, Brad Hockley 36 and Les Cottam 35 on a countback from a few unlucky players.

On Saturday, November 19 the event will be an 18 Hole Stableford for Joel Woods and Graham White’s trophy.

On Sunday the Hunter River District Ambrose Championship will be played at Cessnock.

The Kevan’s Knockout final will be played between Wayne Hedley and Jake Teague.

The Match play Championships are also down to the final stages with Mick Alsleben to play Clayton Rogers in A Grade.

Wayne Hedley awaits the winner of David Druce and Brad Hockley in B Grade, whilst in C Grade David Adams and Kevin Thompson will play off.

Presentation Night: Members will be able to purchase tickets later in the week at the club for the highlight evening for Scone golf, the annual combined Presentation Night on Saturday, December 3. All players who are receiving prizes are especially encouraged to attend.
