Scone Man Guilty of Indecent Acts

GREG Brown a 59 year old Scone resident appeared in custody in Maitland local court on Wednesday facing a charge of willful and obscene exposure in or near a public place/school and one count of commit an act of indecency with a person under 16 years.

The first charge was withdrawn by the prosecution and the matter dismissed by the court and Mr Brown pled guilty to the second charge.

The matter was adjourned until April 13 in Maitland court and bail was refused.

Mr Brown committed the act of indecency on Tuesday while on a public bus.

That same day Mr Brown had appeared in Newcastle court on a charges of assault with act of indecency, wilful and obscene exposure and commit act of indecency with person 16 years or over.

The first charge was withdrawn by the prosecution and dismissed.

Mr Brown pled guilty to the other charges and was fined $300 and given a section 9 five year good behaviour bond.

When Mr Brown committed the offence on the bus that same day, he breached the five year good behaviour bond and that matter will also go before the court on April 13 in Maitland.
