Scone Put up a Good Fight

THE 2016 State Age Championships have drawn to a close, bringing to an end three days of fantastic action at the Campbelltown District, Bankstown City and Illawarra District Netball Associations.

Illawarra turned on three days of fantastic weather for this year’s division three and four teams.

Scone Netball Associations four representative teams all played well showing great sportsmanship and were very competitive in their respective divisions.

The 12’s  team finished in second place in  division 3  with 16 wins and 2 losses and will next year go up into the division 2 competition.

The 13’s and 15’s also competed in division 3 with both teams finishing in ninth position. The 13’s had 11 wins and 8 losses, the 15’s 8 wins and 8 losses.

The 14’s age group were in the division 4 competition and were narrowly beaten into third place with 17 wins and 3 losses.

All players, coaches, managers and parents reportedly had a great weekend.
