BY Stuart Sheldrake

There were 1464 cattle penned in a yarding that was plainer in quality across the board.

Plainer cows were on offer with a hand full of good cows, good cows sold to firm rates while plainer cows were firm to five cents cheaper.

A good yarding of bullocks was on offer which sold five to eight cents cheaper.

The bull market wasn´t to bad and firmer than what it has been.

The majority of the yarding was made up of weaner cattle with plainer weaners across the board, good lines were five to eight cents cheaper with secondary lines 10 to 12 cents cheaper.

Very few trade cattle about but what is selling is selling quite well at firm rates.

Fewer feeder cattle were presented with some secondary lighter heifers which sold 10 to 15 cents cheaper.

The market is still very good but this rain has been very disappointing and not what they made it out to be.
