1512 cattle were presented today in a yarding that saw fewer export cattle penned with the majority of those, cows.

Cows were firm on last weeks quotes across the board also with quality.

The majority of the yarding this week was a plainer offering with large numbers of yearling heifers and steers, there were also grown heifers and steers on offer with a good number of weaners.

Very few fat and grain fed cattle about but those there were firm to 10 cents dearer.

Weaner cattle were in good supply but the weights were down on previous sales with cattle starting to feel the pinch of the conditions, those cattle still sold 15 to 20 cents dearer on the back of a bit of rain and confidence in the market.

Yearling cattle and feeder cattle and steers were in good supply, secondary heifers sold to 5 cents dearer with the feeder steers were 10 to 12 cents dearer.

The offering was a little bit plainer in condition due to the season but with rain predicted next week the confidence in the market should return.
