Scone Stock Report: Nov 15

Filed in Recent News by November 15, 2016

By Stuart Sheldrake

THERE were 1178 cattle yarded today, so a few more than we have had recently.

The market was firm in a few spots and cheaper in others so it was a bit up and down.

Cows were fully firm on last week.

In the trade run good butcher calves were sold to firm rates.

Weaner cattle were cheaper.

Good lines of weaner heifers sold to dearer rates and they were ten to fifteen cents more.

Feeder steers weighing from 350 to 450 to go back onto feed they were 15 to 20 cents cheaper.

Secondary cattle were also easier.

Store Cattle Sale: This Thursday starting at 11am. There will be about 500 head, with good lines of cows with cows in calf and pregnancy tested cows.
