Scone Stock Report: November 21

THERE were 1292 cattle yarded in a market that saw prices firm to dearer across the board.

Fat cattle, export cattle, kill cattle and cows were all generally firm with some slightly cheaper in spots.

The majority of the yard was made up of plainer cattle mainly due to the season and also heavier yearling and feeder cattle.

The plainer cattle and good lines of weaners were firm to dearer on last weeks quotes with some good competition coming mainly out of the north who are experiencing a good season, feeders were four or five cents dearer as well.

All in all restocker cattle were dearer and fat cattle were firm.

There is a Store Cattle sale on Saturday December 9 and clearing sale at Jocelyn Park on Saturday December 2 starting at 9am.
