Showstopping Magic

JOEL Howlett taught some local budding magicians how to make coins disappear, perform card tricks and juggle on the weekend.

Jill Hamling, artistic director of Showstoppers Performing Arts Company for People with Disabilities, said the clients from Scone and Muswellbrook had a great time and are now busy practicing for the Christmas concert ‘A Touch of Magic’.

“One young girl wanted to go back and learn how to do more card tricks, they had a great time,” said Ms Hamling.

“It is great for them to learn different skills, for example the hand eye coordination involved with juggling,” she said.

“They learnt how to make things disappear and party style tricks and we are going to incorporate some magic into our Christmas concert on November 12,” she said.

“It would be great if the community supported it and we could fill the old court theatre,” Jill Hamling said.
