Spared the Storms – Weekend Weather

Filed in Recent News by March 17, 2017

THE Bureau of Meteorology has said Scone should be spared the storm activity which may occur towards the coast this evening, but can expect continual showers during the weekend.

“Scone will have continual showers, but is not in the warning area,” said Mr Park.

“On Saturday you can expect 10 to 35 mils with steady showers and because of the cloud cover the temperature will be a minimum of 16 and a high of 26 degrees,” he said.

“On Sunday the showers are easing there may be 10 mils and the wind will be northerly so the temperature will increase to 27 or 19 degrees,” he said.

“The temperatures will increase again on Monday into the low 30’s, there is a possible thunderstorm and afternoon showers,” he said.

“It is a big easterly bringing the moisture in from the Coral Sea,” Diwon Park said.
