THE Kingdon Ponds and Parkville rural fire brigades were at the Scone Spring Markets yesterday putting the next generation of fire fighters through their paces.

The course is designed to be fun and help ensure children are not scared of the fire brigade if they are ever called.

Adele Flaherty completed the obstacle course and said it was ‘good’.

“I had my friend Teegan there and it was really fun,” said Miss Flaherty.

“My favourite part was getting the hose and spraying the ball,” she said.

“There wasn’t really a fire there though,” she said.

“I’d have to practice more before I went to a real fire in a paddock in Scone though,” Adele Flaherty said.

If you are a grown up and you think you could attend a real fire in a paddock after some practice the local brigades would be keep for you to join the team.
