TODAY’s sale had a yarding of 1,190 cattle.

There was a very good quality of calves penned.

There were quiet a few more export cattle, with large consignments of cows and cows were fully firm.

The remainder was made up of trade cattle, with some good lines of vealer calves and trade yearlings.

Trade calves for slaughter eased in price to the previous week, however calves and yearlings for restocking all sold to fully firm rates.

Vealer heifers saw an extra restock buyer in the market and they sold to slightly dearer rates.

Yearlings, steers and restocker steers sold to fully firm rates.

There is a store cattle sale on Thursday in Scone at 11am, which is expected to attract local famers for restocking.
