Studs of the Upper Hunter

THE term “studs of the Upper Hunter” usually refers to the hundreds of thoroughbred studs in the local area, however the Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival committee has taken a different approach with the development of their “studs of the Upper Hunter” calendar.

Lauren Taylor, committee member of the Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival said they were taking a completely different approach to promoting the Festival and raising money for local charities through the development of the calendar.

“Each year during the Festival we marvel at the beauty of our equine friends, however this year we will also be celebrating the many gorgeous people involved in the horse industry,’ said Miss Taylor.

“The ‘Studs of the Upper Hunter’ calendar will feature the finest gentlemen, horses and Upper Hunter scenery we can find,” she said.

“A percentage of the proceeds of the calendar will be going towards Riding for the Disabled and Variety.

“We’re hoping that everyone will get behind the calendar and help us to raise as much money as possible,” she said.

“We’re hoping to print thousands of the calendars so there are some great sponsorship opportunities,” Lauren Taylor said.

If you would like to be involved or would like to nominate a ‘stud’ then please email sconehorsefestival@gmail.com.

Any photographers who already have images they think would work in the calendar are also encouraged to submit their photographs.
