THE Scone and Upper Hunter Horse Festival have chosen three charities to support this year including the Variety Club, Riding for the Disabled and the Olivia Inglis Eventing Scholarship.

The first of the donations was $1,000 given to local people who are participating in the Variety Club Bash whcih raises money for children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.

The other two charities were chosen for their links to horse sports.

The Riding for the Disabled donation will go to the nearest facility at Muswellbrook and provides the opportunity for local people to enjoy a safe, healthy and stimulating therapeutic time with horses.

The Olivia Inglis Eventing Scholarship that will provide emerging riders with funding to support their training and competition.
