scone.com.au has only been running for two months and it has been a fun ride so far.

We’d like to thank local people who have embraced the new news service and we have bigger plans in store.

The interview by Jill Emberson, Newcastle ABC Radio was recorded within the first week of launching the site and at that time the reach was 7,800 users and 21,000 page views and we were blown away by those figures at the time, but the site continues to grow: Listen to the ABC Interview.

As of today there have been more than 162,000 page views on the website, 52,658 users of the site and already a return rate of 51%.

Over night we see people logging on from overseas predominantly from England, Ireland, the US and Canada, but there have been users from 70 countries so far, with stories of former Scone residents now living overseas and people with family living here staying up to date with what is happening in town.

Advertising has started and now local businesses can reach a bigger audience through scone.com.au.

The site will continue to grow as we have more advertising, so if you are interested please contact us.

And keep sending us your story leads and photos…Your News, Your Story!
