Update: Parkville Accident

A five year old girl, who was a passenger in a Hyundai which collided head on with a Mercedes on the New England Highway near Parkville at approximately 7:30am is being transferred to the John Hunter Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter suffering serious injuries.

The status of the female driver off the Hyundai is yet to be confirmed by police and the female driver and only occupant of the Mercedes is being treated at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone.

Both the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a Sydney based helicopter are at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scone to assist.
