Brian joined the Society in 1973 and served for many years with Hunter Branch and the NSW State Management Council.

He was a passionate breeder of quality Australian Stock Horses and has registered over 200 horses in the ASHS Stud Book.

The Main Camp horses regularly compete at State and National level in polocrosse and campdrafting.

Brian’s commitment and service to the Society was recognised in 2012 when he was awarded Honorary Life Membership.

Brian will long be remembered for his generosity, and over the years he has provided horses to many polocrosse players and campdrafters.

Brian was a highly respected cattle breeder and was awarded 50 Year Membership with Angus Australia in 2011.

He was a regular cattle donor to local campdrafts, and Team Penning events and also supported local schools with quality Angus cattle for their Show Teams.

The ASHS offers its deepest condolences to his wife Margaret and children James, Christine and Fiona; our thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow.

Brian’s funeral will be held at the Rouchel Uniting Church on Friday, 14th July at 11am. The service will be followed by a celebration of his life at the Rouchel School of Arts.
