Vaulting Shines Today

FOR many people the objective of riding a horse is staying in the saddle, but for vaulters the saddle is their stage for artistic and gymnastic feats.

The vaulters must complete some compulsory moves as a standard and then they can fully express themselves during the freestyle section of the event.

The sport is ideal for spectators with all the colour, music and theatre of gymnastics combined with expert horsemaship.

From tiny tots to highly experienced riders who compete as individuals or as part of a synchronised team there is ssomething for all ages.

The equestrian vaulting competition continues today from 9am – 2pm at ‘Dunsinane’, 274 Turanville Road, Scone.
