LAST month Magistrate Prowse made comment on the Christmas inspired tie of solicitor Mark Diggins describing it as “the most hideous tie I’ve ever seen” adding the barb, “but it seems to suit you.” (See related story: Scone Court Report – December 2017)

Mr Diggins felt perhaps the readership of scone.com.au should have been given the full context of the situation to allow them to assess if it was in fact hideous.

Mark Diggins feels readers should be able to make their own assessment of his Christmas tie.

“Well hideous is a subjective term and they can judge that for themselves if it is hideous or not,” said Mr Diggins.

“I chose to wear a Christmas tie because it is Christmas time,” he said.

Mr Diggins said he harboured no ill will towards Magistrate Prowse and did not think he was unfair.

“Well that his his subjective view, but I would like the public to see what someone classed as hideous because what I class as hideous and what someone else classes as hideous could be poles apart,” Mark Diggins said.

Mr Diggins also noted Magistrate Prowse was grateful for him working on his day off, “if it wasn’t for people like you Mr Diggins then the wheels of justice would stop grinding, coming in on your day off is a testament to that, not withstanding your choice of tie.”

In that spirit we have published a photo of the tie below and will let the readership decide: In your opinion is Mr Diggins’ tie hideous? Please respond in the Facebook post thread with Yes or No and we will see what the people decide.
