Veteran’s Golf: August 30

PHIL Ledgerwood won the day with 37 stableford points at Murrurundi Golf Club on Tuesday, August 30 when 17 Vets visited this delightful course that is so well maintained by all the local volunteers.

Second was Tony Lettice 32 on a count-back from Captain Max Holz third.

In the ball comp balls went to Graham Turvey 31 and Milton Reid, Bob Thorley, George Smith  and Red Palmer 29.

Nearest the Pins: 3rd/12th Graham Turvey; 6th/15th Terry Mitchell; 9th/18th John Norman.

All present were saddened when they heard the news that Veteran and Murrurundi golf stalwart, the highly respected Mr Rick Cooper had passed away.

Our condolences go out to Rick’s family and the local golfing community.

We also pass on our condolences to Veteran Len Stanley on the sad loss of his son.
