Veteran’s Golf: Feb 7

The Upper Hunter Vets are leading the Henbury Vets by 29 stableford points after round 1 of the Upper Hunter v Henbury Challenge, played at Muswellbrook Golf Club on Tuesday, February 7.

This was the margin in favour of Upper Hunter after the ten best scores from both groups were totalled.

The final round will be played at Henbury in Sept/Oct.

There were 69 players all up, including players from across the range from Quirindi, and from Singleton.

The overall top golfer was Paul Constable with 39 points, 2nd was Bob Bradley from Quirindi 38 and 3rd was Brian Riley 38 C/B from Henbury.

Amongst the ladies first was Barbara Babbage 37, 2nd Lindis Durham 35, 3rd Di Thorley 34 and 4th Marion Flanagan 32.
