Veteran’s Golf: July 24

Twenty-seven Vets remembered their golfing mate Bernie when they played the annual Bernie Behringer Memorial par 3 event at Aberdeen Golf Course on Tuesday, July 24. Thank you Doug Dowell and your helpers for setting up the course for the 24 holes.

The winner with nett 66 was Jeff McKeon from Vice Captain Graham Turvey 67 2nd, Tony Pearson 3rd 69 and Brian Dever 4th 71.

Balls went to Captain Phil Ledgerwood 74, Rod Auld and Di Thorley 75, Bob Thorley and Tommy Thompson 76 and Bob Lawman, Graham Huggins and Doug Dowell 77.

Nearest the Pins:     1st Jeff McKeon     3rd Graham Turvey     4th Gerrit de Boer     5th Di Thorley     6th Peter Daunton (plus two birdies)     7th Graham Huggins     8th Brian Dever     9th Gary Gray

Gary Gray also picked up the Bradman Trophy.  The putting wine went to Tony Pearson with 31 putts.

  • August 14 round 1 of the Championships at Aberdeen stroke;
