Veteran’s Golf: July 26

THANK YOU Doug and Sandy Dowell and Peter Daunton and all the course helpers at Aberdeen for setting up the score cards, the special teeing grounds and the course generally for the annual Bernie Behringer Memorial Par-3 event played on Tuesday, July 26.

There were 33 players including new member David Bradshaw on a sunny and windy morning.

Mrs Pam Behringer was kindly in attendance to present the trophy.

Jeff McKeon did best with nett 64 from Rod Auld 66 second, Peter Daunton 73 C/B third, Bob Thorley 73 fourth, Graham Huggins 74 fifth and Terry Mitchell 75 C/B sixth.

In the ball comp balls went to Doug Dowell and Rod Upton 75, Robert Colbert 77, Graham Boles 78, Treasurer Bob Minch 79, Des Partridge 80, Gary Morley and Bob Lawman 81 and Carey Wallace and Jim Elder 82.

The putting wine went to Rod Auld with 33 putts.

The Bradman trophy went to Len Stanley.

Nearest the Pins: 1st Rod Auld; 3rd Jim Elder; 4th President Paul Gorman; 5th Rod Auld; 6th Gary Morley; 7th Terry Mitchell; 8th Jim Elder and 9th Graham Huggins.

On Tuesday, August 2 we play the first round of the annual Championships in A, B and C Grades, stroke (off the stick and handicap) at Muswellbrook.

On Tuesday, August 9 we play the second and final round at Scone. Hit-offs 8.30 for a 9am start.
