Veteran’s Golf: May 8

Captain Phil Ledgerwood could not play due to ill health on Tuesday, May 8 but that did not stop him from running the shot-gun start draw and compiling the best ball results following the round. Get well soon captain.

The event was a two ball best ball plus individual stableford and those two golfing mates Jim Elder and Peter Daunton did best with 50 points from Gary Gray and Terry Mitchell 48.

Balls went to these individuals: Les Brown 41, Brian Dever 40, Jeff McKeon 38, Wayne Murphy, Graham Guest, Rod Auld, Col Solway and Greg Squires 37, Red Palmer 36 and George T. Smith and Bob Lawman 35.

The Bradman trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Charlie Manning.
