Veteran’s Golf: Oct 25

ON a glorious spring morning 28 veterans played the final of the Jack White Trophy event at Aberdeen Golf Course.

The course was in fine condition and the standard of golf matched.

The winner of the Jack White trophy for 2016 is Reg Davidson who won with nett 65 on a count-back from Jeff McKeon.

Third was Terry Mitchell 66 C/B from Les Brown.

Balls went to Doug Dowell 67, Jim Elder 69, Des Partridge, Ken Thornton, Jock O’Connor and Tom Thompson 70, Graham Huggins and Ken Hughes 71 and Ross Banks and Rod Auld 72.

Best scratch score: 77 by Terry Mitchell.

The putting wine kindly donated by Aberdeen Recreation Club went to Terry Mitchell with 25 putts C/B.

Nearest the Pins: 4th Phil Ledgerwood, 7th Brian Dever, 9th/18th Terry Mitchell, 13th Rod Auld, 16th Terry Mitchell.

Mal Bruce is still on the sick list; hang in there man.

On Tuesday, November 1 we play for the Col Hunter Shield at Muswellbrook with all players to have hit-off by 8am, please.

On Thursday, November 3 we travel to Henbury for the Challenge Cup.

All players to make their own way there, by 8.30 please.
