Veteran’s Golf: October 23

Twenty-eight Vets came to Aberdeen Golf Club for the final for the Jack White Trophy on Tuesday, 23rd October. It was great to have Paul Gorman and Mal Bruce back with us.

The winner of the Jack White Trophy for 2018 is Jock O’Connor who won with nett 66 from Tony Pearson 2nd 67 C/B, with Ross Banks 3rd 67 and Wayne Murphy 4th 68.

Balls went to Rod Auld and Bob Thorley 68, Gary Morley and Jim Elder 69, Doug Dowell, Red Palmer and Phil Collins 70 and Gerrit de Boer, Bob Lawman and Brian Dever 71.

Best Scratch Score: Ross Banks 75   The putting wine went to Reg Davidson with 28 putts C/B. The Bradman’s Trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Terry Mitchell.

Future Games:

  • October 30 STFD at Murrurundi;
  • November 6 STFD at Muswellbrook for the Col Hunter Shield;

At the AGM all office holders were re-elected unopposed. It was decided that the hit-off time would change to 8.30 am and that this would apply throughout the year.
