Veteran’s Golf Report: April 3, 2018

ON Tuesday, April 10 at Muswellbrook Golf Club we will play the first round for 2018 of the Challenge event against Henbury vets. As they will have been travelling for over two hours, please have some cakes, slices, scones, jam and cream etc for the Henbury players to refresh themselves, by 8.00 am at the club house. We look forward to another fun day of camaraderie and good golf.

Sixteen vets played a stableford event at Denman on Tuesday, April 3. Thank you Denman lady golfers for allowing us to share the course with you.

Andy Medway did best with 39 points, from Bob Lawman 2nd 38 and Terry Mitchell 3rd 37.

Balls went to Brian Dever 36, Gary Morley 35, Red Palmer 34, Graham Turvey and Ross Banks 30, and Greg Squires and Vice President Rod Upton 29.

It was great to play with Mal Bruce who won the Bradman trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley.

FUTURE GAMES: Tuesdays:

  • Tuesday, April 17 – stfd at Mbk for the Ossie Miles Trophy;
  • Tuesday, April 24 – stroke and putting at Aberdeen. Hit-offs by 8.00 am.
  • Friday, April 6 – the Murrurundi Open will be held.

Please note – the trip to Crowne Plaza has been cancelled but might be on later in the year.
