Veteran’s Golf Report: May 28

Captain Phil Ledgerwood scooped the pool when 23 Vets played a stroke and putting event at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, May 28 under wind-chill conditions on Tuesday, May 28.

Phil won the stroke event with nett 67 from Doug Dowell 2^nd 68 C/B from Vice Captain Graham Turvey 68 3^rd and Jeff McKeon 4^th 69 C/B.

Balls went to Jock O’Connor 69, Jim Elder 72, Terry Mitchell 73 and on 74 Graham Huggins, Red Palmer, President Paul Gorman and Les Brown.

Best scratch score: Phil Ledgerwood 74 off the stick; Putting wine: Phil again with 26 putts.

The Bradman’s trophy, kindly donated by Gary Morley was won by Tommy Thompson.
