Veteran’s Golf: Sept 19

A big ‘thank you” to Gary Morley who sponsored the U H Veterans’ Mulligans Day stableford at Aberdeen Golf Club on Tuesday, September 19. The day proved to be a success, especially for Bob Lawman, who was able to re-play an out-of-bounds shot with no penalty. There were 28 players in all, who enjoyed the renovated greens especially.

Results: 1st Bob Lawman 41 points on a count-back, 2nd Rod Auld 41, 3rd Reg Davidson 40 and 4th Peter Daunton 39.

Balls went to Captain Max Holz, Greg Squires and Gary Morley 39, Treasurer Bob Minch, Lindsay Hodge and Graham Boles 38, Graham Turvey 37 and Doug Dowell, visitor John Morley, Gary’s brother from Taree and Ross Banks 36.

  • September 26 – at Aberdeen stroke and putting;
  • October 3 – at Muswellbrook stableford;

  • October 17 – at Muswellbrook stableford;
  • October 24 – at Aberdeen Jack White Final stroke and putting and AGM;
  • October 31 – stableford at Murrurundi.

As an incentive to play at the beautiful Murrurundi, if we get a minimum of 25 financial players at Murrurundi games, then the prize money for a hole-in-one will be $500.
