A green Aberdeen golf course, renovated greens and ideal weather greeted the 25 Vets who played their stroke and putting event on Tuesday, Sept 11. Welcome to new member Ross Higham.

Terry Mitchell was driving well, putting well and recovering well and so won with nett 63, from Reg Davidson (welcome back!) 66 2nd, Tommy Thompson 3rd 67 and Rod Auld 4th 68.

Balls went to Doug Dowell and captain Phil Ledgerwood 69, Gerreit de Boer, Bob Lawman and Robert Colbert 70, Jeff McKeon and vice president Rod Upton 71 and Lindsay Hodge and Graham Turvey 73.

Nearest the Pins: 4th Robert Colbert; 7th Rod Upton;  9th/18th Rod Auld; 16th Greg Newman.

Best scratch score: Terry Mitchell 76.

The putting wine: Terry Mitchell with 27 putts.  Bradman Trophy: Red Palmer.
