Weather Forecast for the Week

THE cool change was a welcome relief last night bringing with it some light showers.

The rainfalls recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology were as follows:

• Merriwa: 23ml and 9.4ml
• Moonan Flat: 11ml
• Murrurundi: 4.6ml
• Rouchel: 0.8ml
• Scone: 3 ml
• Timor: 13ml

Today there is a chance of further light showers as the system moves east towards the mid-north coast and there may be thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Tomorrow there is chance of showers and thunderstorms, which will be towards the Range and the New England.

The temperature in Scone today is expected to reach 31 and will climb through the week:

• Tuesday: 36
• Wednesday: 37
• Thursday: 37
• Friday: 40

Another change will come through on the weekend and by Monday the temperature will be back down to 30.
