SATURDAY

Horses Birthday Markets:

  • What: Scone Country Markets equine themed market day. There will be plenty of stalls, balloons, a bubble machine, birthday cake, face painting, pony rides, petting zoo, sausage sizzle and a special appearance by Big Blue the sculpture by Nick Adams. The Rural Fire Service will have their two trucks there and a junior fire fighting obstacle course. There is also an exhibit “Retrospective look at the Hunter Valley’s Equestrian Olympians from the 1960s through to 2012.”
  • When: 12pm – 4pm
  • Where: Scone Visitor Information Centre, Crn Susan and Kelly Street, Scone.

Opera Singer Returns Home:

  • What: Former Aberdeen resident and Upper Hunter Conservatorium student Simone Easthope is a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School in New York. Her highly anticipated Upper Hunter return performance in the new UHCM building in Campbell’s Corner will be accompanied by internationally renowned concert pianist and partner Benjamin Moser.
  • When: 7:30pm.
  • Where: Atherston Room, Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music, 80 Bridge Street, Muswellbrook.
  • Tickets: Adult $25 and Concession $20.

SUNDAY

Gala day for Scone Junior Rugby Union:

  • What: Get on board to watch teams from all over the Central North playing rugby in Scone. Canteen will be operating all day.
  • When: Games begin at 10am.
  • Where: Bill Rose Sporting Complex, Kindgon Street, Scone.
