FRIDAY, October 27

Antique Fair – Opening Cocktail Party

  • What: Vendors from throughout the state with a range of antiques. This year there will also be a quilt show in the library of Scone High School.
  • When: 6pm – 9pm
  • Where: Multi-purpose Centre, Scone High School, Gundy Road, Scone.
  • Cost: $20 includes finger food and one glass of champagne.
  • Weekend tickets: Combined tickets with the quilt show are available for a day for $10 or the weekend for $15. A day ticket for the Antique Show is $7 and for the quilt display is $5.

SATURDAY, October 28

Beef Bonanza

  • What: More than 800 school students from across the state are in town for the annual beef bonanza. The community are encouraged to support our budding young primary producers as they show their cattle.
  • When: 8am – 7pm. See: full schedule.
  • Where: White Park, Guernsey Street, Scone.
  • Cost: Entry is free and food is available.
  • Related story: Beef Bonanza Fires Up

Light Horse Centenary Commemoration

  • Related Story: Light Horse Remembered in Murrurundi.
  • 10am – 2pm: Previously unseen photos from local soldier Maxwell Wright during the Battle Of Beersheba, Historical Society and Museum Hall, Murrurundi.
  • 10am – 4pm: Local authors with books on their family connection to Beersheba and artwork from local school students at the RSL Club, Murrurundi.
  • 11am – 12pm: 12th Light Horse Parade, Wilson Memorial Oval, Murrurundi.
  • 12pm: Lunch at the Murrurundi Bowling Club with a photographic display.
  • 3pm: Screening of Whaler at Murrurundi Bowling Club.
