Filed in Recent News by April 28, 2019

THE Roads and Maritime Services has advised motorists to expect delays at Whittingham on the New England Highway and Golden Highway, beginning tomorrow.

On the New England Highway survey work will be conducted between 7:30am and 4:30pm and again at 7pm until 4am and is expected to take four weeks.

Traffic control will be in place and the speed limit will be reduced to 40km an hour.

On the Golden Highway the RMS is upgrading a two kilometre section of the road to improve safety and reduce the risk and severity of crashes.

The work includes widening the road shoulder, installing roadside safety barriers, providing widened medians, correcting road levels and improving the stability of a roadside embankment.

The work will also begin on Monday and be conducted between 6am and 6pm weekdays and 8am until 1pm on Saturdays and will not be complete until February 2020.

There is also work on the Golden Highway at Ogilvies Hill and Winery Hill on new overtaking lanes.
