Workers Feel Duped

EMPLOYEES at Mount Arthur have raised concerns that BHP Billiton is continuing to induct contract workers to the mine, while in negotiations to sack 290 workers, including permanent employees.

Peter Jordan, district president of the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union said the Union was alarmed by the reports and would be speaking with their members, before the second round of consultation with mine management on Wednesday.
