POLICE are investigating a spat of graffiti in Kelly Street, Scone following a number of shop fronts were affected, sometime between midnight and 6am last Friday.

Police are appealing to anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage, or other information to contact Scone Police Station on 6544 0199 or to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Garry Gilkeson, secretary of the Scone Chamber of Commerce, said they would like to see CCTV cameras in the main street.

“We would be very much in favour of CCTV in the main street and we have raised the matter with Council,” said Mr Gilkeson.

“We need to protect our local businesses, both in terms of break-ins and from graffiti,” Garry Gilkeson said.
